Cover Cover: Cell-specific expression, distribution, and targeting of endogenous Arf1 small GTPase along the nephron shown in a collage of figure panels. Arf1 is not exclusively targeted to the trans-Golgi network (TGN)/Golgi complex in kidney epithelial cells in situ. In proximal tubules, Arf1 is targeted to the apical pole, where it colocalizes with megalin and Arf6 (yellow; 1st and 2nd rows, left). Arf1 is also located in the TGN/Golgi complex of proximal tubules (green; 1st row, right), where it colocalizes with TGN38 (red; 2nd row, right).
