Cover: Confocal section at the basal surface of
porcine kidney proximal tubule epithelial cells (LLC-PK) labeled for
F-actin with rhodamine-phalloidin (red) and with an antibody against
the focal adhesion protein vinculin (green). A yellow color is observed where F-actin and vinculin colocalize in the focal adhesions. The cell
in the center of the field expresses a constitutively active mutant of
the small p21 GTPase Rho, resulting in augmented stress fiber and focal
