CORRIGENDUM

Corrigendum

Volume 294, March 2008

Volume 63, March 2008

Liang S, Fu C, Wagner D, Guo H, Zhan D, Dong C, Long M. Two-dimensional kinetics of β2-integrin and ICAM-1 bindings between neutrophils and melanoma cells in a shear flow. Am J Physiol Cell Physiol 294: C743–C753, 2008. First published January 16, 2007; doi:10.1152/ajpcell.00250.2007 (http://ajpcell.physiology.org/cgi/content/full/294/3/C743).—In MATERIALS AND METHODS, Eq. 2 contains an error in the subscript of one of the variables; the entire equation is presented here, with the corrected subscript shown in bold.

Formula 2(2)

In the final paragraph of MATERIALS AND METHODS, the description of the reduced {chi}2 statistic is misrepresented. The corrected sentence should read "The reduced {chi}2 statistic, {chi}{nu}2 = {chi}2/{nu}, where {nu} is the number of degrees of freedom (=NNf, where Nf is the number of fitting parameters), can be used to measure both the appropriateness of the proposed model and the quality of the data."

In Fig. 2C, there was an error in the key within the image. The text legend is correct. The entire corrected image with text legend is shown here.

Fig. 2. Effects of shear rate and shear stress on WM9 aggregation with fMLP-stimulated PMNs. Results show the percentage of melanoma cells in heterotypic aggregations: shear stress varied from 0.625, 1.25, to 2 dyn/cm2 at a fixed shear rate 62.5 s–1 (A); shear stress varied from 2, 4, to 6.4 dyn/cm2 at a fixed shear rate 200 s–1 (B); shear rate varied from 62.5 to 200 s–1 under a fixed shear stress 2 dyn/cm2 (C); and shear rate varied from 200 to 400 s–1 under a fixed shear stress 4 dyn/cm2 (D). *P < 0.05 with respect to 1.0 cP, 200 s–1 case; #P < 0.05 with respect to 2.0 cP, 200 s–1 case.

In the footnote to Table 2, decay factor "{alpha}" was misrepresented as interaction range "a" in two places. The entire corrected table is presented here, with the corrected variable shown in bold.
