Pages C1332–C1341. Shi X, Gillespie PG, and Nuttall AL. "Na+ influx triggers bleb formation on inner hair cells." (http://ajpcell.physiology.org/cgi/content/full/288/6/C1332; doi:10.1152/ajpcell.0522.2004). Two relevent references by A. J. Aranyosi and D. M. Freeman should have been listed in the bibliography and cited in the fifth paragraph of the DISCUSSION (p. C1337, "Na+ loading as trigger of bleb formation").

These findings, from hair cells of the alligator lizard, are consistent with our present finding that Na+ entry provides a major trigger for bleb formation. These references are listed below.
