Alignment of the Sequences of the 220-kDa MLCKs
The
deduced amino acid sequence of the mouse 220-kDa myosin light chain kinase
(MLCK) is shown aligned to the sequences reported for the human endothelial MLCK
and the avian nonmuscle MLCK (1,
2). The consensus sequence is shown below the alignment; lower case
letters indicate that two sequences are identical. Arrows and boldface
methionine residues identify the predicted initiation sites for 130-kDa MLCK and
telokin.
